ROLE: Building / Engineering Surveyor - Posted October 2023.

My Engineer Ltd are looking for suitably qualified applicants to work in our “mypropertysurvey.ie” service.

The role will be based in our Tuam office and the successful candidate will be working as part of the “mypropertysurvey.ie” team.

The team covers Galway and Mayo and provides engineering reports, pre-purchase reports, pre-sale reports, snag lists, map surveys, conditions reports, planning searches and general building defects advisory services.

QUALIFICATIONS: The Applicant should possess at least one of the following educational qualifications:

  1. Level 7 National Diploma / Ordinary Degree (2:1 minimum average) in Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Studies or Architectural Technology plus 3+ years continuous relevant work experience. The applicant should be a member (Associate or Full Member) of a relevant professional organisation.

    Or,

  2. Level 8 Honours Degree (2:1 minimum average) in Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Studies or Architectural Technology plus 2+ years continuous relevant work experience. The Applicant should be a member (Associate or Full Member) of a relevant professional organisation.

The Applicant should have knowledge and experience of working with the Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents and Planning & Development Regulations. A good working knowledge of the Planning & Development Acts from 1963 onwards and the Building Control Act (including BCAR) is essential. They should also know how to conduct a planning search and to negotiate the planning archives of the Planning Authority. Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required. They should be familiar with mapping procedures, surveying and land registry mapping requirements. They should be fully familiar with different building systems and construction technology. Experience in the use of of thermal imagery technology is desirable. The Applicant should be very comfortable with computer systems, technology and be familiar with our service “mypropertysurvey.ie”.

The Applicant should possess a full clean Driver’s Licence and provide their own transport for property inspections (Mileage will be reimbursed as part of the remuneration package).

OUR WORKING WEEK: We work a full working week in 4-days (8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Thursday). You will be expected to be flexible with timing during the working day in order to accommodate property inspections and working away from the office.

ROLE: Architectural Technologist - Posted October 2023.

My Engineer Ltd are looking for suitably qualified applicants to work between our “my3d.ie” and “mypropertysurvey.ie” services.

The role will be based in our Tuam office and the successful candidate will be working as part of the “my3d.ie” and “mypropertysurvey.ie” teams. The role may also require some property surveying in areas of Galway & Mayo.

QUALIFICATIONS: The applicant should possess at least one of the following educational qualifications:

  1. Level 6 National Certificate / Higher National Certificate (2:1 minimum average) in Construction Studies or Architectural Technology plus 5+ years continuous relevant work experience.

    Or,

  2. Level 7 National Diploma / Ordinary Degree (2:1 minimum average) in Construction Studies or Architectural Technology plus 3+ years continuous relevant work experience. The applicant must be a member (Associate or Full Member) of a relevant professional organisation.

The applicant should have knowledge and experience of working with the Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents and Planning and Development Regulations. Must have knowledge and experience of planning and preparing planning applications. Experience with AutoCAD & Revit and is essential, in particular the 3D elements of Revit. Experience with Lumion or other such software is desirable.

My Engineer Ltd are looking for a suitably qualified applicant to work as part of the My Engineer Ltd office management team, which supports all our services, such as: “mypropertysurvey.ie”, “my3d.ie” and “mymaps.ie”.

The role will be based in our Tuam office and the successful candidate will be reporting to the Managing Director.

The candidate will co-ordinate client pathways through our services, be involved with accounts and finance and co-ordinate the day-to-day scheduling of all our services. Phone / Email and reception duties are also an essential part of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS: The applicant should possess at least one of the following educational qualifications:

  1. Level 5 Qualification in Office Administration or other equivalent qualification plus relevant experience.

    Or,

  2. Level 6 National Certificate in Office Administration or other equivalent qualification plus relevant experience.

    Or,

  3. Level 7 National Diploma / Ordinary Degree in Office Administration or other equivalent qualification plus relevant experience.

The applicant should have knowledge and experience of working with office administration systems, Microsoft Word & Excel and have a good knowledge of email and reception duties. Experience working in construction related sectors would be desirable. This role requires fluent English.

OUR WORKING WEEK: We work a full working week in 4-days. This role is required from 10:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday, but we may consider more flexible hours depending on circumstances.
